About this artist

Everyone is seeking to find their voice. It's when you focus on who you really are, what you value, and what you love that your process begins. This journey of the 27-year-old Detroit native, Mario Wilson (Reo), shaped his soon to be released debut album, "Lost Love". The album reflects on his trials and tribulations throughout his adolescence that have worked out in his favor of learning to lose and love again.

Reo grew up in the church, he began singing in the choir at the young age of six with a strong push from his grandmothers', Marie and Betty Jackson. After their passing, the strict rule of never missing a Sunday church service faded and his family bond began to dissolve. His grandmothers' had instilled the power of his voice in his heart. At the age of 23, he moved to Los Angeles to focus on his music career.

His move to Los Angeles proved fruitful with red carpet opening for Def Jam Music Recordings and BET events. After a great start towards his dream, Wilson decided to bring his career to an halt to focus on perfecting his voice and falling in love with his own sound. In February 2018, he began recording again, deciding to focus on his message and how it can open minds and provide a path to self love for self and for others.

The album tells the journey of growing up in the fast lane from beginning to end--learning to experience losses and still push forward to learn self love and a path for its inherent value. The album paints a vivid picture of how male figures and the value of money provide an image to the world that creates a lack of self-respect for themselves or the women they engage with, and pushes them to take responsibility as a man.
