About this artist

Crawford started his career as a child actor and Mouseketeer on The Mickey Mouse Club. He then went on to play opposite Chuck Connors on the popular series The Rifleman. Back in the early 1960s this was enough to get you a record deal, and Crawford went into the charts a number of times with the records he cut for Los Angeles indie Del-Fi. His dramatic songs of teen love and angst were written by folks including David Gates (who later went on to lead the chart topping Bread) and Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil, the legendary Brill Building writers responsible for "You've Lost That Loving Feeling."
