Elizabeth resides in Phoenix, AZ after receiving her Masters in Music Composition from Arizona State University in 2010. At ASU, she studied with Rodney Rogers, Roshanne Etezady and Glenn Hackbarth. Elizabeth attended Baylor University where she received her Bachelors in Music Composition in 2008 and studied with Scott McAllister. She has also studied with Christopher Theofanidis, Gabriela Lena Frank, Forrest Pierce, Ken Ueno, and Marilyn Shrude.
Elizabeth’s works have been heard around the greater Phoenix area, coast to coast in the U.S. and in Italy. Her works have been heard at the 2017 Waterloo Regional Contemporary Music Sessions (Canada), 2016 Toronto Creative Music Lab (Canada), the 2016 and 2018 Cabrillo Festivals, the 2014 Rhymes with Opera Chamber Music Workshop, the 2011 Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival, the 2012 and 2013 soundSCAPE Festivals, the 2010 Cortana Sessions for New Music and highSCORE festivals, the 2014 UNK New Music Festival, and the 2015 Carlsbad Music Festival. Elizabeth is the winner of the AZ Centennial Composer Competition (Judges’ Award, 2012) and the 2009 winner of the Cambridge Chamber Singers’ Annual Choral Composition Competition.
Elizabeth is a 2016 recipient of a Professional Development Grant from the AZ Commission on the Arts and is a 2017 Millay Collony Resident. She founded Oh My Ears, a new music presenting organization, in 2013 and currently serves as Artistic Director. Oh My Ears is a recipient of a New Music USA Project Grant, an Amphion Festival Grant, and a Festival Grant from the Arizona Commission on the Arts.
As a flute player, Elizabeth performs with the OME House Band, the resident ensemble of Oh My Ears. She mostly indulges in improvisatory, instruction-based, and graphic work.
Her works can be heard on the album Quintets produced by the highSCORE institute and on Sonic Flux, a mixed media and electro-acoustic album produced by EMPiRES.
