Swedish pop and jazz singer, born August 4, 1982 in Mellerud.
In 2005, she contributed vocals to I Won't Stay on Monster & Maskiners studio album Never Die!
Pérez first became known through the music site MySpace. She debuted in 2009 with the album Pärlor och svin, with covers of Kent songs. The album reached the top 23 on the Swedish album list, and the best-selling single was Utan dina andetag, which ended up at number 30 on the Swedish singles list. The album was produced by Fredrik Okazaki Bergström and recorded by Kent's producer Stefan Boman.
On February 18, 2012, Pérez appeared with the song Sanningen when she participated in the 2012 edition of the Melodifestivalen.
In 2012, Pérez released her second album, Där vi en gång var, with her own songs. On the album, she also collaborated with songwriters such as Andreas Mattsson (Popsicle) and Ludwig Bell. The album was recorded at Decibel Studio in Stockholm, produced by Fredrik Okazaki Bergström with Pérez as co-producer, and mixed by Simon Nordberg.
On February 8, 2013, Pérez was awarded the Writer of the Year Award at the Manifesto Gala. The prize was awarded by SKAP and Manifest.
November 17, 2017 came the first single from the new album: Du som hade fel. It was followed by Håller rent March 3, 2018, Gå, men ta mig med dig May 18 and Synd om dig October 12. On Friday 2 November 2018, Carolina's third album Innan jag dör vill jag leva igen was released, where she collaborated with e.g. Anton Toorell from the group Invader Ace.
October 28, 2019 was the 10th anniversary of Carolina as an album artist, which was celebrated with the single Förlåtelsen. This is also a Kent cover, together with the 120-person Kent Choir.
