He arranged, directed and sometimes recorded the scores of over a hundred films and theatre shows.
Father of Daniel Piazzolla (2), grandfather of Daniel Piazzolla.
Born: 11th March 1921, Mar del Plata, Argentina / Died: 4th July 1992.

• Sexteto Los Mendocinos. 1939 - Weeks long stint, no recorded material.
• Aníbal Troilo y Su Orquesta Típica. 1939-44 - Orchestra of director Aníbal Troilo. Performed the Bandoneon and was part of the arranger corpus. Direct involvement in recordings is mostly unknown.
• Francisco Fiorentino Y Su Orquesta Típica. 1944-46 - Orchestra assembled by singer Francisco Fiorentino and directed by Piazzolla. Bandoneon, arrangements & direction. Recorded material released in 12 double-sided shellac 10''s under Odeon (30201 - 30212).
