Terekke

About this artist

Matt Gardner has received much acclaim for his hazy, blissful deep house tracks produced under the name Terekke. One of the key artists of Ron Morelli’s esteemed L.I.E.S. (Long Island Electrical Systems) stable, Terekke’s sporadic releases are among the best of the label’s output. He made his debut with 2011′s “Damn” single, one of the label’s first records. Second release YYYYYYYYYY (2013) made a bigger impact, with the murky, moody track “Amaze” becoming an underground club hit. An untitled EP appeared as part of L.I.E.S.′ “black label” series in 2014; additionally, Gardner released an EP simply credited to the moniker X on Rush Hour’s No ‘Label’ imprint. A digital-only ambient EP appeared in 2015, and Gardner remixed tracks by Lohhof, Peggy Gou, and Bridge & Tunnel Kids. Terekke’s debut full-length, Plant Age, was released by L.I.E.S. in 2017. This was followed by Improvisational Loops, an ambient LP on Music from Memory. ~ Paul Simpson
