Sidiki Diabaté

Gambian-Malian Kora player born 1922 in Bansang, Gambia, migrated back to Mali in the 60th to Kita, became a member of the Kaira-mouvement, was a member of the Ensemble Instrumental national du Mali and made several other albums :
- Cordes Anciennes - Première Anthologie De La Musique Malienne, with Batourou Sekou Kouyate , 1970
- Ba Togoma, 1987 (with young Kandia Kouyate and Djelimadi Cissoko n 2)
- rythmes et chants du Mali, 1978, with his own ensemble.

Sidiki Diabaté died 1996 in Bansang. His uncle was Amadu Bansang Jobarteh, and he's the father of Toumani Diabaté and Madou Sidiki Diabaté.
