About this artist

With roots in the American south, earnest duo All Get Out occupy the space between indie rock and emo punk, blending the harmony and passion of bands like Jimmy Eat World with the urgent vocal delivery of acts like Modest Mouse. Debuting in the late 2000s, they issued underground favorite The Season in 2011 before a quiet period of exploration ended in the late 2010s with Nobody Likes a Quitter and No Bouquet. From South Carolina to Texas, the vocalist/guitarist pair of Nathan Hussey and Kyle Samuel balance melodic guitar with driving energy, all of which soundtracks their often confessional and unflinching lyrics. After their self-titled debut landed in 2008, they followed with 2011′s The Season, which became a cult favorite in the indie-emo sphere. Despite the breakthrough, the band remained quiet over the ensuing years as they figured out the future of the project. They wouldn’t return until 2015 with the Movement EP. They quickly followed with Nobody Likes a Quitter (Favorite Gentlemen/Bad Timing Records), issued in 2016 and produced/co-written with Manchester Orchestra’s Andy Hull and Robert McDowell. Seizing a burst of creative energy, they started writing a follow-up while Nobody was still being mixed. That fourth set, No Bouquet (Equal Vision) arrived in 2018 and was produced by Mike Watts (Glassjaw, the Dear Hunter). ~ Neil Z. Yeung
