Australian DJ Young Franco is known for his diverse blend of hip-hop, house, disco, and electro-infused sounds. He emerged in 2014 and gained wider attention after his 2021 track “Real Nice (H.C.T.F.)” was picked as the theme for A-League pro-soccer in Australia and New Zealand.
Young Franco was born Joseph Da Rin de Barbera in 1995 in Brisbane, Queensland. It was while at university in Brisbane that he developed his sound, posting tracks online and playing shows on the weekends. He debuted in 2014 with “Close 2 U” featuring Joy. More tracks followed, including 2017′s gold-certified “About This Thing” with Scruzzifier. Along with appearances at Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival, he has also collaborated on tracks with Maribelle, Denzel Curry, Winston Surfshirt, and others. In 2021, he paired with Tkay Maidza and Nerve for the track “Real Nice (H.C.T.F.),” which was chosen as the theme song for Australian and New Zealand professional A-League soccer.
