About this artist

Beginning when legendary Chicago rappers advised him to look into rap after his first attempt at freestyling, Vyle's music is a clear reflection of culture as we
collectively move further into a tech-dependent society. Vyle is a music/art project focused on heritage, futurism, romance, idiosyncrasies, pop culture, gentrification, disproportionate conditions in his hometown of Chicago, witnessing the loss of his mother, betrayal, class-ism, technology and the Black American experience created by Albert Johnson. Vyle has played at festivals such as Governor’s Ball, SXSW, Lollapalooza, CMJ, SXSW, and the Pitchfork Music Festival, institutions and museums including MOMA PS1 and the Goethe
Institute, maintained DJ residencies at NYC's Soho House, Up & Down, and Thotlandia, a monthly event in Brooklyn that can call attendees like Alexander Wang regulars.
He has worked with music + visual artists such as Jeanette Hayes, Antoni Tudisco, Sam Rolfes, Devin Kenny, Tim Saccenti, Nick Martin, Nicole Ruggiero, Azealia Banks, Flosstradamus, The
Cool Kids, Eliot Lipp, Yehme2, Anti-Pop Consortium, Zomby, and Rick Ross, amongst others. His music + art has been featured
