Velmondo

Velmondo is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist producer and Barcelona based DJ Arnau Obiols. His debut EP 'Moongazing' appeared on Hivern Discs in 2019 drawing inspiration from early forms of electronic music from the 70s, wether it is dub, krautrock, industrial, ambient, post-punk, to conjure enigmatic atmospheres through raw and primitive sounds.

In January 2020 he released the EP 'Mad Honey' along the Swedish duo MLiR, on Prins Thomas' label Internasjonal, gaining support from the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Red Axes or Roman Flügel, amongst others.

Distilling a unique approach to acid, trance and tribal influences, the esoteric techno single 'Infinity' arrived in June 2020 through Nitsa Traxx, including a remix by Marving & Guy on the flipside.

Velmondo also shares a project with John Talabot called Mioclono that debuted with the track 'Center of Things' in the Hivern Discs compilation 'Fragments'.
