Ursula Mamlok

Ursula Mamlok (b.February 1, 1923, Berlin, Germany – d.May 4, 2016, Berlin, Germany) was a German-born American composer and teacher.
She started studying Composition and Piano in Berlin, but emigrated with her parents to Ecuador in 1938, where she could not finish her studies. Later she received a sholarship to the Mannes College of Music in New York.
She taught as a professor and Composer at the Manhattan School of Music in New York.
