About this artist

Traxamillion isn't your typical hyphy producer. He was born in San Jose and began his rap career as a self-described backpacker rapper. But the self-taught musician was essential in establishing hyphy's quirky, electro template. His career kicked into overdrive in 2006 when he teamed up with the gravely voiced emcee Keak Da Sneak for the national smash, "Super Hyphy." He next collaborated with Da Hoodstarz for the regional hit "Grown Man." As hyphy became a national phenomenon, Traxamillion was quickly becoming a go-to producer, and he worked with the likes of Brooke Hogan and Paul Wall. His 2006 showcase, Slapp Addict , was named after his walloping basslines. It was an undeniably fun CD that featured some of the biggest names in the Bay -- everyone from Too $hort to Zion I -- and further helped establish Trax as one of the region's most respected producers.
