Vocals for the heart, cuddly saxophone vibes and bass for the guts: As a one-person band, THORD1S from Hamburg, Germany, layers, loops and mixes themselves live to brand new eighties, made with love in 2023. A queer-feminist rock'n'roll ride as intervention in the hetero-cis-male-dominated music scene - fluid between pop and performance, big gestures and nuances, tear-jerkers and mini-rave. There is neither male nor female. There is only THORD1S. Mullet!

Thordis M. Meyer is a musician, performer of the experimental scenic arts and director from Hamburg whose debut album as THORD1S will appear in 2024. The long player is titled PREM1ERE and is currently being produced with support of Initiative Musik. The gender and genre-bending one-person band THORD1S emerged in 2018 from Thordis' final artistic exam in the masters course Performance Studies at the University of Hamburg. THORD1S played at music festivals such as Fusion, PLAN:ET C, Skandaløs, VOGELBALL and Habitat, at Queer Garden in Berlin and at theatre and performance festivals like Hauptsache Frei, Festival für Immaterielle Kunst at Kampnagel and at.tension amongst many others. THORD1S also appeared in streams for Mojo Club, Chaos Computer Club, MS Artville and Schwankhalle Bremen. In 2021 and 2022 Thordis produced their first own large music performance productions PERISTALTIK at Club Turtur and ACHTERBAHN at LICHTHOF Theater and intensely collaborates with the queer feminist Berlin based theater collective CHICKS* freies performancekollektiv and performed in Italy, Mexico, Rumania, in the UK and in Austria.
