Mark Vick (Mark Dynamix) & Danny Muller (Xan Muller) joined together to form The Antipodeans in 2020 to explore their love of Australian synth-pop/synth-rock. The Antipodeans are signed to independent label Long Distance Recordings. Their first single features Australian legends ICEHOUSE for a reworking of "Hey Little Girl", released October 2021. Their second single featured electropop band BOXCAR for a new track called "Count Me As Your Enemy" sampled "Gas Stop", released July 2022. Their third single is a cover version of the MONDO ROCK classic "Come Said The Boy" featuring Greg Gould on vocals and was released Feb 10th 2023.
Mark has a 30 year legacy in the music industry in Australia, heading Ministry Of Sound Recordings Australia and being a respected nationally touring DJ and musician. He also produces under the names Mark Dynamix, MDX, MDX AU & Lost In Nova Scotia. He also promotes the successful Electronique & Jack The House events in Sydney which link in with his work with The Antipodeans stylistically.
Danny is a fixture of Sydney dance and electronic music scene, known for his unique production style and passionate approach to music-making. He has produced under the aliases Komyoun, Xan Müller, Kid Kay Ferris and Arkee Opterix. He has collaborated with Aussie legends ICEHOUSE, Boxcar & Paul Mac and has played support for Aphex Twin, Basement Jaxx & The Crystal Method. He also akin to throwing events within the same vein as The Antipodeans, such as Surveillance Party and Synthwave Dreamz.
