The Pied Pipers were a popular singing group in the late 1930s and 1940s.
In 1938 two vocal groups (The Three Rhythm Kings & The 4 Esquires) and Jo Stafford (from The Stafford Sisters) merged into one supergroup, vocal octet The Pied Pipers. By late 1939 they were down to a quartet and had several personnel changes through the years.
The group was inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2001.
