Indian playback singer and harmonium player, trained in Carnatic and Hindustani music. Born 29 April 1973 in Palakkad, Kerala, died 12 September 2010 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She was the daughter of harmonium player and singer, K.C. Cherukutty, and also known as "The Humming queen of India".
From 1987 until her death she has sung nearly 6000 songs in seven languages. She received the National Award from the Government of India when she was just 21 years old.
