SDP

Although their name stands for the very hip-hop-sounding “Stone Deaf Productions,” SDP are a genre-mixing duo from Spandau, Berlin who favor satirical lyrics and ridiculous videos. Formed in 1999 by members Vincent Stein and Dag-Alexis Kopplin, SDP introduced themselves in 2002 with an album of demos, Angriff aus Berlin. In 2004 they went official with the album Räuberpistolen, then in 2006 they ruffled some football fans with the EP Antifussballmusik. In 2012 they cracked the German album charts with their release Die Bekannteste Unbekannte Band der Welt, while 2014 saw them crack the Top Five with Bunte Rapublik Deutschpunk. ~ David Jeffries
