R- Scar was born and raised in South London. South is notoriously known for its negative reputation, he stated “My upbringing helped me find my faith.” Scar wanted to push back the stereotype and be a “light” in his environment. In early 2017, Scar and DavEorKoFi started collaborating on music. They experimented with afrobeats and eventually ended up producing Minus. Minus has now amassed over 800k views on YouTube, and 2 million streams collectively. Only being 17 and 12 years old at the time of release, it was an unprecedented moment for the dynamic duo. Scar has subsequently gone on to work with artists such as Still Shadey, Asha Elia and Limoblaze. His release Centre has become the sound on which Scar builds his melodic music on. Eventually, releasing a remix alongside the talented Sharyn. In 2022, R-Scar released his highly anticipated debut album 'Metanoia' and has continued to impress supporters with his ever-growing sound. The artist proceeds to make waves in the UK Gospel scene with his unique sound, his only purpose is to spread the Gospel.
