Since releasing his first EP in 2007, Italian DJ/producer Riva Starr (Stefano Miele) has established himself as one of the world’s leading electronic dance music artists through his catchy productions and memorable remixes of established artists such as Usher, Major Lazer, and Dennis Ferrer. Miele first honed his musical skills on the breakbeat scene, produced under the pseudonym Madox during the early 2000s, and released several singles on the Mantra Breaks label. He increasingly found inspiration from house music rather than that of the breakbeat scene and began to record 4/4 style beats under the name Riva Starr. His electro-house stylings, which he was soon to be renowned for, were first recognized on his debut 2010 album, If Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade. Released on the Made to Play label, it received critical acclaim and established him as a standout talent within the burgeoning EDM scene toward the end of the 2000s. Several underground hit singles followed and in 2013, he finally achieved mainstream success with a collaboration with Fatboy Slim on the track “Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat.” ~ Aneet Nijjar
