Dancehall duo RDX formed in 2006, made up of vocalist Andre Bedward, aka Delomar, and deejay/rapper Carlton Williams, known on-stage as Renigade. The two had been friends growing up in Kingston, Jamaica, and both performed as part of the dancehall group Xsytment before breaking away to form RDX. They quickly scored their first hit with the high-energy single “Dance” in 2007 and followed up with a string of huge dancehall hits, including “Dancer’s Anthem” in 2008, “Bend Over” in 2009, “Broad Out” in 2012, and “Bum” in 2014. RDX stayed active with single after single of pop-minded and rap-tinged dancehall and took their sound to new fans across the world, touring internationally on a consistent schedule as the years went on. Though primarily a singles band, RDX released the full-length album To the World in 2008 and also offered the 13-track album Level Up in late 2017, featuring the single “Shake Your Bam Bam,” among others. ~ Fred Thomas
