Rankin Pumpkin is a Japanese reggae recording artist who work in Japan and Jamaica.
She is well known to the people in Jamaica since had enter a TV show "Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall" 2017 there she won second place of the competition, created a phenomenal sensation in Jamaica.

Rankin Pumpkin is a Japanese reggae artist, began her career in the music industry in the 90`s.
She started singing as a lead vocalist in Osaka based band Cha Cha Crew, which was one of the few dancehall reggae band in Japan at the time, writing original lyric in Japanese, performed at many clubs in many cities in Japan. Since she was influenced by Reggae Music she became a solo Singjay.

In 2000,she moved to Jamaica to get experience of Jamaican life and real reggae vibes then she met with African Symbol who has a recording studio, a record label and production. There she started recording songs in English language and released many singles that are combination with a Jamaican female artist Little Ceyon Harvey on African Symbol Label.
Rankin Pumpkin sings and deejay in both Japanese and English languages.
Back and forth to Japan and Jamaica keep up her music career in both countries.

Rankin Pumpkin entered TV show in Jamaica “Magnum Kings & Queens of Dancehall” on TVJ in 2017 created great impact to the people in Jamaica and won second place of the competition.
Since she appear on the TV show, gained big fame and fan base in Jamaica.

2000~2010 “It`s Love” “Dance Hall Queen”, “Tribute to Garnet Silk”, “Japamaican Twang”, “Reggae Dub Sound ”.
Those songs which she did with a female Jamaican singer Ceyon Harvey.
All those songs were released as 7 inches records.

Also “Mi No Mix Up Inna Babylon”, “So Much Trouble” (from compilation CD album Reggae Reunion),
“Legalize It” are her solo singles.

Original lyrics written by Pumpkin Yoko and African Symbol both English and Japanese languages.

2011~2015, “A -One Class” with Lady G.
She also sings a tribute to Japan Earthquake “Jamaica love Japan” with African Symbol.
Those songs are in compilation CD album from African Symbol Music label.

2017, Song popular in Magnum King & Queens Dancehall competition “Dem Vex” “Yu Should A Know” released as digital format singles.

2019, released her full CD album contained with 14 tracks produced by African Symbol Music.
