This UK pop punk combo began in the mid-80s. Leigh was playing with the Others, while Mick partnered In The Dark. Both were locals from the Uxbridge area, and when the groups folded Mick volunteered his drumming skills for the proposed band Leigh was inaugurating. They found vocalist Malcolm through an advertisement in the weekly Sounds music paper and bass player Gary, a multi-instrumentalist, who was one of the Others’ original drummers. However, when he emigrated they drafted in another Gary, but he was as short-lived as his namesake. Huggy then stepped in as the permanent bass player. The final shift came in 1991 when Pete (also ex-Others) replaced Mick. Their first release came with a single jointly sponsored by So What! fanzine, ‘The Price You Pay’. They joined the Released Emotions roster in 1989, where they found Paul Fox (ex-Ruts) to produce their best recording, ‘Between The Lies’. Their first album followed several months later.
