Oscar Heman-Ackah is a music producer, songwriter, sound designer, and vocal instructor from Nigeria. He has functioned in widely varying facets of the music industry: from working with artistes, composing orchestral music, creating jingles, and adverts for companies, coordinating choirs, to providing scores and soundtrack for movies.
In 2011, he entered into a publishing partnership with Buvision, which resulted into publishing with DefJam/Buvision. Via this platform, he has been opportuned to work with some of the most talented international artistes. Some of these artistes include: Akon, Miranda Brookes, Skylar Gray, Leona Lewis, Chris Brown, Marian Mereba, Ludacris, and Rihanna.
He has also written and produced for a talented number of Nigerian artistes such as: Simi, Omawunmi, Tuface, Praiz, Bez, Psquare, Niyola, Banky W, Chidinma, Retta, Phyno, to name a few. Furthermore, within the local Nigerian terrain, he has lent his musical ingenuity mostly to multi-nationals and corporate bodies by creating jingles and adverts for them. Some of these companies include MTN, Etisalat, Glo, Diamond Bank, Interswitch, GTB, DSTV, BAT, amongst others.
