Born and raised in Mbabane, Eswatini, Makhosazana Thwala is known to many as a tomboy, and is quite comfortable with it. But her admiration of the beauty, art, strength and greatness of women is evident in the “Elle” attached to her stage name, which is French for “she”. Her pride in being a woman ignites her creative mind to make music that divulges details of her relationships with other women and various growing pains.

The release of PHAZED EP (March, 2021) might have marked her most treasured moments in the industry. The EP is a very crucial part of her growth in terms of production and composing, as it birthed the producer Oriiginelle. She single-handedly produced all but 2 songs. The EP’s lead single, Emadloti feat Umuti, was heavily embraced by SA radio stations such as Ukhozi FM and YFM for its ethnic composition; from the beat which was produced by Wordsmith Felix, to the vernacular raps which lyrically pay homage to the traditional beliefs of Africans – Emadloti.

2022 became the rapper’s most active year as she went on a release spree and gave out a total of seven singles under her discography. This run was head started by Chakra Hun’s release on December 2021, a song which was meant to introduce the birth of a now ripen musician whose creativity surpasses that of raps and lyricism over hype beats and trendy punchlines.
