Late 2016, Ollie Joseph — a rapper, songwriter — emerged from the mid-Michigan area, releasing his first single, “How It’s Going Down” to all streamable platforms. Exposed to many genres of music as a child, the Tokyo, Japan born artist has since cultivated his own versatile catalog of singles. Ollie’s output of songs range from swaggering modern hip-hop anthems, to melodic ballads that are sure to hit you right in the feels. Joseph’s worldly experience has given him the upper hand in differentiating himself from the typical hip-hop artist. Having traveled to over 20 countries, the now Los Angeles based emcee’s songs are inspired by circumstances not many his age have gone through. With the goal of releasing two tracks per month, Ollie is just getting started in the rap game.
