Founded in 1998 by singer/songwriter Paul Calobrisi and guitarist/songwriter Travis McCally, OCB has solidified its presence in Boston's adult contemporary rock scene.
Lead singer Paul Calobrisi infuses the band's music with profound emotion, while guitarist Travis McCally's diverse musical styles, honed from his experiences with bands like “Sloppy Joe,” “Hybrid Minds,” and “Violet Tide,” add depth to OCB's sound. Their debut album, "Closure," quickly rose to fame as a "pop-cult classic," dominating the indie charts on Reverbnation. Tracks like “I Will Stay,” “Hey, Renee,” and “Longing” resonated strongly on collegiate radio, further establishing OCB through live performances alongside music icons at Boston’s Mix 98.5 Music Festivals.
In 2010, OCB began work on their follow-up to "Closure," a project that lay dormant until 2021 when the band decided to revisit it. Transitioning from a heavier rock sound to a more refined approach, OCB embraced a mainstream direction while preserving their unique essence. This musical evolution culminated in their latest album, "We Ride At Dawn," released in 2023.
"OCB’s latest offering, their first in a quarter of a century, is not just an album; it’s a journey through time, emotion, and the human condition, wrapped in a soundscape that resonates with the echoes of rock legends like Fleetwood Mac and The Eagles (MusicAuthentic.com, March 20, 2024)
Crafted meticulously in collaboration with CyberSound Studios and Engineer Mike Midura, "We Ride At Dawn" propels OCB to creative heights. Lead single “Whatever Came Of You” soared to #1 on Reverbnation, followed by “Saying Goodbye To You,” the fourth number one song by the Boston-based band on Reverbnation, solidifying OCB's chart-topping prowess. Their global impact extends to The Neoborn and India Human Show podcast, captivating audiences in 168 countries.
