NMIXX

A K-pop septet who merge elements of teen pop, hip-hop, and rock while alternating swagger and sweetness, NMIXX was assembled by SQU4D (JYP Entertainment). The girl group’s first EP, Ad Mare, saw release in early 2022 and shot to number one in South Korea.
Initially known as JYPn, NMIXX was formed in late 2021 by JYP Entertainment imprint SQU4D. Rappers Kyujin and Jiwoo, rapper/singer Jinni, and singers Haewon, Lily, BAE, and Sullyoon built anticipation for the group by releasing covers by individual members or sub-units. They debuted officially as NMIXX in February 2022 with lead single “O.O,” which was followed days later by the EP Ad Mare. The EP topped the Korean album chart. They returned to number one just seven months later with follow-up EP Entwurf. It additionally entered the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart at number 53. ~ Marcy Donelson
