Composer/Sound artist/performer, born 1980. Studied composition at the Royal Danish Academy of Music with Bent Sorensen, Hans Abrahamsen & Niels Rosing-Schow. Studies abroad at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz with Beat Furrer. His music has been performed by several of the most prestigious ensembles with in contemporary music such as Ensemble Recherche, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Arditti String Quartet, London Sinfonietta, Oslo Sinfonietta, Trio POING & Stockholm Curious Chamber Players. Nicolai is one of the founders of the danish composer collective Dygong.
