Nani, previously known as ‘Anjali World, is an Indian-American recording artist and philanthropist from the Bay Area. With her unique lyrics that empower young women and international sounding music, she is quickly leaving her footprint in the industry. The Bay Area native started singing in her choir during high school, and later finally pursued a music career while attending the University of California, Berkeley. After graduating in 2013 with a degree in Marine Science, she moved to Los Angeles to further her career and went on to collaborate with multi-platinum artists like Tyga, French Montana, and Sage the Gemini. She rocked two international tours; and some of her notable performances include; singing national anthems for the Indian prime minister Modi at Madison Square Garden and for Kamala Harris’ swearing in ceremony as attorney general. Her single ‘Nobody’ ft. Tyga charted #37 on Billboard Rhythmic Radio, and her song ‘Undress’ charted #2 on Billboard Dance. Although music is her passion, protecting the environment was her first love. She received the Paul Walker Ocean Leadership Award in 2015 and aims to use her music as a platform to make a difference for marine & wildlife and women’s education.
