Must started when Australian-born Dave Ireland moved to London and met wandering drummer Reuben Alexander. Ireland convinced Alexander to work with him at a club one night, which resulted in a three-day party that ended with the two musicians jamming. They auditioned countless bassists until finally German transplant Kai Lemke filled the spot. They gigged around London and were met enthusiastically by rock fans, although the dominant dance scene in the town often overshadowed their efforts. Their first wide release, 2002′s Androgynous Jesus, was also the first opportunity they had to present their music outside of Britain. ~ Bradley Torreano
