His name is Mohammad Jaberi and he was born in 1981 in city of Kermanshah, Iran.
he grew up in a family with two very prominent values; the practice of Sufism and the love of music. he have been playing the Daf and many other forms of percussion for 25 years. he learnt to play the Daf from Masters Khalife Karim Safvati.Ahmad Khak Tinat. His particuIar playing style follows that of Master Bijan Kamkar.
he have a diploma from Tehran School of Music. he was recognised as one of the best Daf players two times at the Fajr Music Festival in Iran and also at the Indian Rhythm Festival and Spanish Music Festival. he have experience in playing in many concerts with various orchestras both inand out of Iran. Some of these include:
• Rumy Concert with London Philharmonic Orchestra
•Hamdel ensamble
• Iranian Drums Group in Spain
• Dehlavi Group in Iran
• Resvan group in a European Tour
• Molavi group with Master ShahramNazeri
• Ferdosi Group in many different festivals in and out of Iran. and also he have lots of concert and tour with Mr sami Yusuf around the world.
he produced own Album entitled “Daf vaBaran” in Iran and currently live in London teaching Daf and supervising and conducting“Daf Navazane Eshgh”, a London-based Dafband founded by Himself.
