Mintcho Garrammone

À propos de cet artiste

Argentine musician and composer Mintcho Garrammone lived and played in Brazil for more than 15 years where he specialized in Baiana guitar and cavaquinho. He also plays bass, accordion, pandeiro and mandolin.

His music is a journey in which everything happens in a festive climate where reason and emotion go at high speed. Mixing choro with milonga, samba with tango, baiones with cumbias and frevos with cuarteto, he disorients and excites the audience with melodies of a naive joy that do not resemble anything of what we already heard and yet live within the collective memory as a old sound that was not discovered yet.

His live shows are true rituals in which he fuses folklores from different regions. His melodies and compositions mix his pampean roots (he was born in Dolores, province of Buenos Aires), his Italian descent and the sound landscapes traveled on his tours of Brazil and the world.

His style and interpretation brings us closer to the sonority and swing of Oscar Alemán. Mintcho has an extensive musical tour sharing tours, recordings and shows with artists such as: Chico César, Daniela Mercury, André Abujamra, Altamiro Carrilho, Leo Maslíah, Rubén Rada, León Gieco, Cyndi Lauper, Kevin Johansen, La Bomba de Tiempo and Darío Volonté , among others.

He was also part of Ramiro Musotto's Orchestra Sudaka, a project he toured the world with. In 2014 he released his fourth album "La felicidad es un kilombo", which he presented in the country and the world.

In 2016 he took his music to Berlin, Brussels, Amsterdam, Maastricht, Paris, Prague and Firenze.
