Swedish composer, organist and author,born May 20, 1953 in Spånga, Stockholm.

He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. During his studies he had Alf Linder on organ and Carin Gille-Rybrant on piano. Waldenby was awarded P A Berg's token in 1977 and received a soloist diploma in organ in 1981. He was employed as a choir leader in Klara parish, Stockholm in 1979 and organist in Jacob's church in Stockholm Cathedral Parish in 2002. Waldenby became a member of the Swedish Composers' Association in 2005.

Waldenby currently works as a deputy cathedral organist, conductor and choir leader in Storkyrkan and Sankt Jacobs Church, which belong to Stockholm Cathedral Parish. He has led Stockholm's Cathedral Choir (formerly called St. Clara Motett Choir) since 1979 and regularly gives his own organ concerts.

In 2005, Waldenby published the non-fiction "Människor, myter och musik – senromantikens inflytande på kyrkomusikens utveckling i Stockholm under 1900-talet".
