Swedish musician and music educator at the Ingesund Academy of Music, born on February 17, 1975 in Stockholm.
He lives in Karlstad. He plays 12-string guitar but also mandola, zither, mandolin, dobro and charango in mainly folk and world music and is active on music scenes around the world. He has a music education degree from the Ingesund Academy of Music, where he now teaches himself.
He plays together with i.a. Sofia Karlsson, Ulrika Bodén Band, with Harald Haugard and Helene Blum Band in Denmark, with Sigrid Moldestad in Norway and with her trio MP3 - Mattias Pérez Trio. He also plays duo with Nano Stern in Chile and in duo with Kevin Henderson from Shetland. Mattias has also worked as a theater musician at many of Västanå Teater's productions such as Peer Gynt, A Manor Tale, The Magic Flute and A Midsummer Night's Dream.
