Martay

From the Central Coast of California, Martay is an innovative singer-songwriter out to inspire. Realizing as a teenager that it was tough getting over the aches and pains she was experiencing from her dad's drug issues and her parents' divorce, Martay found relief in God and the creative process of songwriting. This finding led her to begin performing in Boston's music scene in 2008 while attending college at Boston University.

Before she could release her first project, she was quickly joining cohorts with talented producers in the area and other musicians who helped her begin building a national following, as well as play more than half a thousand shows over the next 5 years.

Since her beginning, Martay has been a supporting act on 4 national music tours, self-distributed 3 albums, and paved a unique path with her consistently fresh musical sound. Currently, Martay can be found both playing solo with her guitar and with her band.

Whether by herself or with her crew, this story-telling creative knows how to sing with heart. Martay never fails to leave her audience captivated with hope for the future and with a new state of contemplation.

With a sound and presence that is contagious, Martay has begun to make a name for herself on the internet and prove through major moves that she is just getting started. One of those moves happened this past year (September 2016) when she won an online contest with over a thousand entrants and got the chance to open up for Snoop Dogg at the Labor Day Music Festival in Los Angeles. There's no doubt that she is set to leave her mark on the music industry and most importantly - change the lives of music fans for years to come.
