The Hungarian-born American bass vocalist Lorenzo Alvary (February 20 1909 - Debreczén, Hungary - Dec. 13 1996, Manhattan) studied law at the universities of Geneva (B.L., 1930) and Budapest (LL.M., 1932) and voice in Milan and Berlin.
