À propos de cet artiste

Samantha Poulter, the Australian-born producer and DJ known as Logic1000, makes direct, intricately arranged club tracks influenced by house, U.K. bass music, electro, and R&B. First appearing with a self-titled 2018 EP, her tracks caught the attention of DJs like Four Tet and Caribou, and she remixed songs by artists like Christine and the Queens and Låpsley in addition to releasing further solo material, such as 2021′s You've Got the Whole Night to Go and In the Sweetness of You EPs. Her 2024 full-length debut, Mother, fused ’90s pop and R&B influences with underground club music. Poulter was born in Sydney but later lived in Melbourne, where she tried her hand at several different careers, from retail to children’s services. She also made music on the side, and when her uploaded tracks were met with positive feedback, the local Sumac label released her self-titled Logic1000 EP at the end of 2018. She moved to London, and DJs such as Anthony Naples, Four Tet, and Fauzia, and Ben UFO began playing her tracks, particularly the Deborah Cox-sampling belter “DJ Logic Please Forgive Me.” She played gigs at the 2019 Berlin Atonal festival and clubs like London’s Printworks, and officially remixed tracks by Caribou, Christine and the Queens, Don Toliver, and others. Poulter and partner Thomas McAlister (aka Big Ever, formerly Cop Envy) moved to Berlin in 2020, just as the COVID-19 pandemic was forcing clubs across the world to close. She launched her own label, Therapy, and released a single called “Perfume.” Her second EP, You've Got the Whole Night to Go, arrived in early 2021, followed later in the year by another EP, In the Sweetness of You. The tracks “Can’t Stop Thinking About” and “Rush” appeared in 2022, and Logic1000 remixed songs by Groove Armada, Flume, Orbital, and others. The 2023 singles “Grown on Me” and “Self to Blame” (featuring Kayla Blackmon) were the first previews of her debut album. Mother arrived in 2024, additionally including guests Rochelle Jordan, DJ Plead, and MJ Nebrada. ~ Paul Simpson
