A British singer/songwriter who mixes smooth electronic R&B and dreamy dance-pop, Leon Else first trained in dance and theater, teaching himself how to sing and write while modeling on the side. After appearing in the 2009 musical Nine, he transitioned primarily to music, scoring a development deal with Turn First Records that yielded his 2014 debut EP, River of Liquor. Between his provocative lyrics and sultry sound, it was enough to land him a record deal with Interscope, which issued the 2016 singles “Black Car” and “Dance.” Else returned with the soulful and deeply personal dance-pop single “What I Won’t Do” in early 2017. ~ Timothy Monger
