The three-man production collective Klubbheads scored a number of big club hits in Holland during the late ’90s and also produced a number of hit songs for other artists. Originally, Addy van der Zwan and Koen Greonveld spent a few years producing tracks in the early ’90s — including the Dutch Top 20 hit “The Ultimate Seduction” — before the duo met Jan Voermans in 1995 and formed Klubbheads. The three released a number of 12″s on the Blue label, employing monikers like Itty Bitty, Boozy Woozy, Greenfield, Joy, and others. The group’s first big hit as Klubbheads was “Klubbhopping” in 1997, which became a success across Europe and reaching the Top Ten in the U.K. In addition, the trio produced a total of six Dutch Top Ten hits for DJ Paul Elstak, produced the number one hits “U Got My Love” and “The Launch” for DJ Jean, and remixed countless producers, some of the more noteworthy being Armand van Helden, Josh Wink, 2 Unlimited, and the Vengaboys. Other late-‘90s hits for Klubbheads include “Discohopping,” “Kickin’ Hard,” “Raise Your Hands,” “Big Bass Bomb,” and “Hiphopping,” as well as others. The trio finally released its first full-length collection, Front to the Back, in summer 2001. It featured all the big hits along with a bonus CD of videos. ~ Jason Birchmeier
