Karol G

Karol G was born in Medellin, Colombian on February 14th. At the age of 14, while still in high school, she decided to participate in X Factor; it was on that reality show where she made her first appearance in the music industry. She worked in Columbia as an independent artist until 2010 when Reykon “El Líder” offered her the opportunity to join him on his world tour. In 2012 Karol G achieved her first number one hit worldwide with the song “301.”

Her next single was “Amor de dos”, a song that she recorded alongside Puerto Rican artist, Nicky Jam. Again, achieving the one number spot on radio that she longed for.

She ended 2014 with two successful hits, which caught the attention of the public for their unique sound. “Mañana”, alongside Colombian artist Andy Rivera, reaching number one in radio stations throughout Colombia and in countries like Peru and Spain. The second single “Si te Confieso,” was pushed solely through digital platforms, achieving great results reaching over 200,000 views on Youtube within the first day of release.

In January of 2016 Karol G signs a recording agreement with Universal Music Latino. By mid March, the artist releases her new single and video “Casi Nada” the first single under the UMLE label. “Ovy On the Drums” and Andy Clay produced “Casi Nada”, the single has recieved strong airplay through the U.S and Latin America and the official video has surpassed 20 million views. Most recently Karol G released a song for her fans titled “Muñeco De Lego”, the video has passed 1.5 million views in just a week from it’s release.
