About this artist

Czech composer (March 9, 1737, Prague – February 4, 1781, Rome), who contributed to the formation of late eighteenth-century classicism in music. He wrote 85 symphonies, 26 operas, 6 oratorial works and several concertos, sonatas and string quartets. Mysliveček’s style influenced Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart a great deal in opera, symphonies, and violin concertos. He was called "Il Divino Boemo" (The Divine Czech).
