Joel Vaughn is a hit-making CCM artist with a versatile sound that combines pop, rock, synth pop, and EDM. He issued his debut album, Bigger Than Me, in 2008 and found success later on with a slew of chart-topping singles like “I Look to You,” “Wide Awake,” “Pray It Up,” and “Already Done,” the latter of which appeared on his 2021 LP Louder Than Lies.
A worship leader at Victory Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, Vaughn spent his formative years in Texas, where he developed a largely acoustic-based worship style. After issuing his full-length debut, Bigger Than Me, in 2008, he began to incorporate electronic elements into his sound, and in 2015 he inked a deal with DREAM Records. A pair of EPs, Kinetic and Surrender, arrived in 2016 and 2017, respectively, followed by Control in 2018. By this time, Vaughn had become a fixture on the CCM charts, garnering millions of streams and sharing stages with Hillsong Young & Free, the Afters, Remedy Drive, Dan Bremnes, and Brandon Heath. In 2021 he released the hopeful and empowering full-length effort Louder Than Lies, which included the singles “Already Done,” “Make the Most of It,” and the powerful title cut. ~ James Christopher Monger
