Janine Andrade

The French violinist Janine Andrade (1918-1997) won a First Prize at the Paris Conservatoire when only 12. She studied with Carl Flesch and Jacques Thibaud. A catastrophic stroke in 1972 brought an end to her public life.

Her recordings of the Brahms and Tchaikovsky concertos were issued under the pseudonym of "Lotte Warenka".
