Hui Ohana remains one of the most popular groups in the history of Hawaiian music. They recorded from 1972 to about 1978, disbanded, but regrouped for two subsequent albums with one in 1985 and the other in the early 1990s. The musicians were Ledward Kaapana, his twin brother Nedward Kaapana and their cousin, the late Dennis Pavao.
2005: Winner, for the group, of a Nā Hōkū Hanohano Lifetime Achievement Award under the auspices of the Hawaiʻi Academy of Recording Arts.
