Australia’s Hein Cooper is a moody singer/songwriter who combines acoustic balladry with infectious beats and electronic flourishes. A native of Milton, a small town south of Sydney, Cooper grew up surfing, and first began playing music in his teens. After high school, he moved to Sydney and briefly attended music school before leaving university to focus on his career. He spent several years playing local clubs before breaking through with his debut album, 2016′s The Art of Escape. The album produced several hit singles, including “Rusty” and “Overflow.” Cooper also benefited from high-profile supporting slots on tours with James Bay and Lukas Graham. In 2018, he returned with the Will Hicks-produced single “Hear My Voice.” ~ Matt Collar
