George Wallington

Wallington was one of the premier Bebop pianists, working the 52nd Street scene with pioneers like Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie. A fine accompanist and fiery soloist who helped introduce artists like Donald Byrd, Jackie McLean and Phil Woods.
