Born in Ukraine and raised in Toronto, I've been writing and recording vocals since 2011 (mostly DnB). Working with producers like Mefjus and Nymfo, I’ve been grateful to release music on labels including Liquicity, MODUS, Metalheadz, Critical, RAM, Shogun and more. I grew up studying classical piano, sang in choirs, fell in love with jazz and hip hop, and went to business school.
After recording vocals in my bedroom for many years, I began working with Toronto producer/DJ Tyr Kohout in 2017 to record and edit all of my vocal projects. Then we started performing as a live duo in 2019 and have played at Canadian music festivals and nightclubs in Europe (UK, France, Germany, Austria and Belgium). In 2021, I changed my artist name from "Anastasia" to my longtime internet handle "flowanastasia" .
In 2022, I was nominated for "Best Vocalist" at the Drum&BassArena Awards, which was a surreal dream come true. That year, I also released my first vocal sample pack on Deviant Audio and my song "The One" was performed by a 35-piece UK orchestra at OrchestRAM. In 2023, I was so grateful to win “Best Vocalist” at the TorontoDnB Awards and got married to Tyr Kohout.
I’m not a full-time musician yet, but it’s been my dream since childhood and I’m just grateful you’re here for the journey.
