The brainchild of session saxophonist Steve Grove, Euge Groove (a bastardization of his name) was one of the first bands to get the attention of a major label due their following on the Internet. That buzz resulted in a deal with Warner Brothers and the release of their eponymous debut in 2000. Although Grove's saxophone playing doesn't have a signature style per se, he is a solid musician, and Euge Groove has consistently placed high on the contemporary jazz charts.
