Ensemble Mensa Sonora

Founded in 1989 by Jean Maillet, MENSA SONORA focuses on directory seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. It takes its name from an all suite collection published in 1680 by Heinrich m.r. Biber, Bohemian composer and virtuoso violinist in the service of the archiepiscopal court of Salzburg, Mozart a century before. Its members are professional musicians playing on period instruments. Since 2015 the ensemble under the musical and artistic direction of Gabriel Grosbard (violin, viola d'amore) and Matthew Boutineau (harpsichord, organ).
